A sociodemographic profile of Ukrainian-Canadians
A study by Max Stick (PhD Candidate, McMaster) and Dr. Feng Hou (Statistics Canada), was recently published in Statistics Canada’s Economic and Social Reports. The article titled “A socio-demographic profile of Ukrainian-Canadians” provides an overview of the geographic distribution of Ukrainian-Canadians and their socio-demographic characteristics.

The results show that most Ukrainian-Canadians have been in Canada for generations and are generally well distributed across census metropolitan areas (CMAs). They also have stronger employment profiles, and higher levels of education and occupational skills than the national population.
